{"id":1374,"date":"2025-11-26T10:52:59","date_gmt":"2025-11-26T10:52:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sinclairresidents.org.uk\/?page_id=1374"},"modified":"2026-05-09T11:15:52","modified_gmt":"2026-05-09T10:15:52","slug":"gtcworks","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wptest.sinclairresidents.org.uk\/index.php\/gtcworks\/","title":{"rendered":"GTC works"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Gas in multiple-occupancy buildings works<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Updated 09\/05\/26 \u2013<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MG Contracts in collaboration with GTC are progressing well with the work to ensure<br>remediation of the findings from the GTC Surveys across the development with regular<br>updates being provided to the factor and committee. This work is now complete within<br>the first 10 stairs on the development and compliance sign off has been received from<br>GTC for these.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Work has been completed in the following stairs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 &#8211; 6 Sinclair Place<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>18 &#8211; 20 Sinclair Place<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>24 &#8211; 30 Sinclair Place<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>32 Sinclair Place<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1-5 Sinclair Gardens<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A range of works to ensure the compliance of the shared areas of each stair is being<br>undertaken as per previous communications including<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Seal any gaps within utilities shafts to prevent gas leaking into voids including<br>behind internal stair walls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seal tops of all shafts to prevent gas leaking into attic space.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seal all ingress points where utilities have entered dwellings (e.g. broadband<br>cables)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove all debris from shafts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Install ventilation panels in doors to remove risk of gas build up within the shaft<br>(intention is to limit these to ground and top floor but may be required at each<br>level in some instances)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure separation of electrical cables from gas supply pipes including<br>installation of rubber installation material where suitable physical gaps are not<br>possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Work will also take place in the communal supply cupboards which are located on the<br>ground floor (usually under the stairs)..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Activities will include each of the above activities however also ensure sealing of<br>access to building foundation areas to prevent a gas build up in this space.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A record of works has been taken during the works and shared with the factor and GTC<br>allowing for compliance and completion of remedial works to be signed off.
